The vehicle tracking service (vts) allows you to track your vehicles online, live from anywhere in the world , for a small monthly subscription fee. You can follow the vehicles to see their current whereabouts, view their speed and heading, choose to view their locations at a previous time, or see a whole track of their daily acitivity in a report showing details: stops, times, durations, speeds, and locations, with map images.

We install GPS (Global Positioning System) units which are small black boxes neatly concealed in your vehicles by the Geovision technical team. Through these units information from orbiting GPS satellites uncovers the location, speed, heading, and other information on each vehicle under tracking. Geovision retrieves this information and presents it to you in an online GIS (Geographical Information System) through which you are able to browse the tracks on a digital map.

There are three models for the subscription-based service:

• Offline tracking. In this model, there is no live communication with the vehicles. Instead, the in-vehicle GPS unit records its positions, speeds, headings and other information onboard in its memory. Upon return to you company parking area, a receiver which we place there downloads the information automatically from the units' memory and sends it to Geovision servers through the internet. The Geovision servers compile this information and present you with a detailed vehicle activity report for each vehicle each day. You are thus able to view reports of today's activity the next day, and so we call this after-the-fact audit reporting. The offline tracking model involves no live communication running cost, and is thus a most cost effective way to audit the activity and compliance with plans of a sales or distribution fleet.

• Online tracking. The online tracking model allows real-time live acquisition of vehicle location data through a communication network (such as GSM or satellite communication). Typically, this is achieved in a most cost-effective way through GSM/GPRS. You are able to view vehicle position. You can view multiple vehicles on the map at the same time. You can choose to follow one particular vehicle and the system will move with this vehicle keeping it in focus. In addition, you can view any previous track and specify the start and end times, retrieving the track from the history database. The online tracking model is most useful for businesses needing to know where the vehicle is right now, such as dispatch operations (couriers, taxi, police, etc...) The online tracking model is also useful for anti-theft and vehicle retrieval purposes.

• Anti-theft and Roadside assitance online tracking. This special model caters to insurance and automative roadside assistance companies. This is a very useful service that you can resell to your clients: our call center operators will accept calls from your clients who are in need of help. This can be to locate them and send assistance vehicles right away, or even to respond to a theft report, alert the authorities, and even remotely disable the vehicle stopping the thief from getting away in it.
